Kenya's national football team, Harambee Stars, has made the top ten best teams in Africa according to the latest rankings by France Football.
Harambee Stars was the only team that broke into the top ten list in the East Africa region, with Uganda finishing 11th in the 2018 rankings.
Burundi and Rwanda came close in 13th and 15th respectively, with Africa's football giants, Black Stars of Ghana surprisingly finishing 17th.
Kenya's impressive rank has been attributed to their superb performances in 2018 where they collected a total of six victories and two draws in twelve international matches.
Aside from that, Stars also sealed a spot in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, breaking a more than a decade jinx to qualify for the continental competition.
Meanwhile, Morocco was placed first in the rankings, with Senegal and Nigeria finishing second and third respectively.
South Sudan and Seychelles are some of the national teams that ranked lowest in the continent according to the respected magazine.
Harambee Stars' continental victory against Ghana and Malawi earlier in September 2018 had already pushed the country five places from 112 to 107 globally.
The Stars now lie in position 105 following their 0-0 draw and a 3-0 victory against Ethiopia in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers played on October 10 and October 14 respectively.
