Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen's 'careless talk' could hurt DP William Ruto's 2022 chances, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny notes.
The vocal Jubilee legislator says that Murkomen's continued jibes against President Uhuru Kenyatta could further curtain the relation with his deputy thus affecting his chances.
"During Narc regime, there were leaders who whenever they opened their mouths, President Mwai kibaki lost votes," said Kutuny adding that Ruto's camp should now support handshake.
He further said: "If the bosses have assured us that the coalition is well, where is Murkomen getting all this from?"
According to Kutuny, Murkomen is running the show as if he is 'deputy president' further creating a rift within Jubilee.
"Murkomen is a liability to the deputy president. Our eyes are focused in 2022 but the senator is working against all this," he said.
However, the two camps reconciled on Wednesday after a 5 hours meeting at Weston Hotel that was meant to address the divisions.
