Macharia was given the house after another family rejected it.

As he celebrated the ‘miracle’, somebody stole his phone.

“We were here singing and celebrating this miracle. As we connected this public address system, somebody stole my phone. I came to realize later,” the father of six said.

The function was on Sunday, February 12 when Macharia was handed over the house.

“I am now suffering because I have no money to buy another phone. If someone picked it by mistake, please return,” Macharia added.

The jovial man thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for giving him the house.

Before, he was living at a church compound where he had been given a house.

He lives with his six children after his wife left him and got married to a different man.

With his old age, taking care of the six children, three who are disabled is a tall order.

“I am asking for help to enable me to take the three children for therapy sessions,” he said.
