Two nurses were on Saturday night attacked by two patients who stormed Mama Lucy Hospital in Nairobi demanding to be attended to.
According to reports from police officers, three people had arrived at the hospital and without following procedure requested the nurses to treat them.
Unfortunately, the two nurses refused to attend to them claiming that they were attending to other critical emergencies at the hospital.
Realising the nurses were not going to attend to them as they had ordered, the two civilians got angered and attacked them.
The two have since been arrested and put in custody waiting to be arraigned on Monday.
According to a source at Mama Lucy Hospital, many such incidences have been recorded in the past.
The nurses also claimed that attacks on medical professionals happen in most hospitals across Nairobi city when patients storm the hospitals intoxicated.
After the incidence, security has been beefed up.
