Kisumu residents are set for more goodies, following Governor Anyang' Nyong'o's deliberations with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party's top leadership on Wednesday.
The county hosted the ODM party's delegates meeting, with Nyong’o now saying that the same has marked the start of among others, more commitment towards better service delivery.
In a tweet after the conference held at the Tom Mboya Labour College, Nyong'o pledged his commitment, and reignited effort towards directing more goodies towards the people in line with his manifesto.
This, he said, will be conducted in accordance with the dictates of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led opposition block.
"We remain committed to deliver to the great people in Kisumu in accordance to the dictates of our party and in line with my manifesto," said the county chief who is also the former party Secretary General.
He vowed to among others, champion for the revival of fallen factories within the county, for economic growth, and economic empowerment of the people.
The party's well being was also discussed in the meeting, with Nyong'o reporting that plans are in place to strengthen the second oldest functioning party in the nation after the independence KANU bloc.
"We resolved to build the party and to fight for the revival of factories in the county for economic growth and empowerment of the locals," he said in a separate tweet.
