Speaking on Wednesday, Lusaka noted that the forums appear like a platform for politicians to air their views on the proposed constitutional amendments.

He based his observation on the first forum held in Kisii on Friday, where he claimed hat the entire function was fully taken over by the political class, with Kenyans being locked out.

The speaker says that in the coming forums, the platform should be left for Kenyans to air their views on the BBI report and be given a chance to propose their preferred changes.

"I hope the coming forums will be better organized than what we saw. Let it not be that only leaders are speaking while Kenyans are not getting the chance (Natumai zile zitakazofuata zitaandaliwa vyema kuliko ile tulioiona. Isiwe kwamba viongozi tu ndio wanaongea na wananchi hawapati nafasi)," he said on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha.

About the finances being used to organize the forums, he said that he is aware that they are funded by the government.

"I dont know the amount that has been swt aside but I know that there is a budget. But I would like a balanced expenditure so that other sectoes can also have their allocations (Sijui ni hela ngapi zinatumika lakini najua kuna bajeti. Lakini tuwe na balance so that sekta zingine pia zipate mgao wao)," he added.

On Saturday, the BBI will be heading to his Western Kenya backyard. The forum is set for the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega county.
