Boy Omboga went missing from his parents home in Bondeni village, Bonyamatatu in Nyamira County on 18 July 2019.

Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba said the missing person's father Kennedy Omboga reported the matter to police.

"The family is in agony following his missing. Police officers are investigating circumstances which led to his missing. Members of the public need to volunteer information which will help police trace Boy," said Mariba on Tuesday in Nyamira town.

The commissioner expressed confidence that the man will be found alive arguing that family members should be patient enough to give police humble time to trace Boy.

Mariba assured that police officers are doing everything possible to boost security across the county noting that whoever found to be behind Boy's missing will not be spared by the law.

"His missing has been linked to witchcraft by family members but that is not the position of police because probe is ongoing," he stated.

Boy's father Mr Kennedy said family members have been having sleepless nights following his son's missing.

"We have not been sleeping since he went missing. We are hopeful that police officers will find him alive," he stated.
