A-30-year old man has committed suicide in Mwala, Machakos County.
The boda boda operator hanged himself from the roof of his house in Katheka village on Wednesday night.
Vyulya chief Francis Musembi confirmed the incident.
Musembi said it was not immediately established why the deceased committed suicide.
"His body was found dangling from the roof in the morning, we are yet to know the reason behind him hanging himself since he left no suicide note," Musembi said.
He said the deceased was not married, he was living alone.
"He lived alone. No family, no one. His body was discovered by neighbours," he added.
Musembi condemned the act.
He urged the residents not to fall victims of suicide whenever life gets out of hand.
"Everyone has problems, but what matters is how we deal with them. Suicide should be off the list," he said.
Musembi said police have taken over the matter in investigating the incident.
The body was removed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital's mortuary.
