The Huduma Namba registration exercise will be taken further closer to the people beginning Monday, Nyanza Regional Commissioner James Kianda.
This is as the government seeks to reach as many Kenyans as possible, in a bid to ensure that all targeted Kenyans voluntarily get registered in the new digital system.
Speaking on Friday, the regional boss said that registration agents will take their services to markets, supermarkets, hospitals, industrial areas among others.
He added that the region has so far managed to register 1.4 million Kenyans into the National Integrated Identification Management System (NIIMS) database.
On Saturday, opposition leader Raila Odinga toured Kisumu County, where he once again called upon locals, most of whom are his supporters, to embrace the exercise.
Raila spoke at the burial ceremony of Mzee Joshua Osamba at Wanda village in Nyakatch constituency, according to the Nation.
Raila has been in the front line in promoting the exercise, and took part in its launch earlier in the month.
He made stopovers to address crowds at Ahero, Sondu at Katito markets, where he maintained that his union with President Uhuru Kenyatta will remain intact.
He was accompanied by area leaders, among them Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owilli, his Vihiga counterpart Patrick Saisi, Nyakatch MP Aduma K'Owuor and his Nyando counterpart Jared Okello.
