Lake View MCA Karanja Mburu has defended himself against criticisms by a section of bloggers over what they termed is joyriding on county projects.
This is after he was seen commissioning projects in his ward accompanied by Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika.
The MCA has however termed the claims as baseless.
In an interview on Monday, Karanja hit out at the bloggers whom he claimed have a hidden agenda of condemning the development projects in his ward and his association with Senator Kihika.
“I’m a firm believer of devolution and I will play my oversight role without any fear or favour. When we oversight it should be understood that we are not fighting anybody” he said.
The MCA maintaining that he will continue to work with all other elected leaders in Nakuru County including the Governor and Senator to ensure development in his ward.
He also warned those branding others owing to their association with other elected leaders and called on all elected leaders in Nakuru county to work together to ensure development for the citizens who elected them.
“We the elected leaders are answerable to the electorates and we should work as per our roles stipulated in the constitution to deliver on matters development,” Karanja said.
