Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana’s rift with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has widened.
Speaking at Kwa Kathoka ATC during wards development committee forum on Thursday, Kibwana said he is not happy at the way Kalonzo treated him after he agreed to work with him.
Kibwana said that he helped Kalonzo to secure the running mate position in NASA but he never paid him back for the same.
He also said that he could have still retained his seat even if he decided not to join Wiper’s camp.
Kibwana, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, said that had he not joined Kalonzo Wiper could have not secured even a single seat at the gubernatorial level.
The remarks come after Wiper announced the end of their deal.
“If I hadn’t joined him Wiper party would not have secured even a single governor position in Ukambani. I helped Kalonzo secure a running mate position in NASA to prevent Musalia Mudavadi from sealing it,” said Kibwana, as quoted by Standard.
Kibwana also faulted Kalonzo for not fighting for the rights of the Kamba community.
He has insisted that Kalonzo has failed the Kamba nation at different levels and wants him to retire in peace. He has also rubbished Kalonzo’s presidential dream, terming it invalid.
