During a meeting with journalists in Kawethei, Kangundo, Muli said that the new development can be actualized with the two parties reading from the same page.

"We are happy that there's unity between governor Mutua and the mcas we were tired of their fights every now and then," said Muli.

He said that the squabbles between the governor and the MCAs had wrecked havoc in the county.

He said that the leaders should now focus on serving the residents.

He said that the mcas can do their oversight and representation job without stepping on the governor's shoes.

"Oversight can be done without wrangles, Machakos had become a replica of Embu county but we're are happy things have turned for the better," he said.

He said that if the leaders put their personal vendetta aside Machakos would begin to get development.

"Remember the people who gave you the positions you're holding, serve them without fear or favor," said Muli.

On Thursday the Machakos executive and the assembly closed ranks where the leaders pledged to work together for the good of the people.
