Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri has dismissed Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential ambitions.
Mr Ongeri termed DP Ruto 'a political reject who is trying to loiter around'.
According to the vocal ageing politician, DP Ruto has nothing to offer to Kenyans.
"DP Ruto is only interested in siphoning public resources. The formation of 'Tangatanga' movement is a clear indication that DP Ruto is just confused," said Ongeri.
The ODM allied senator maintained that DP Ruto will not get any support from Kisii and Nyamira region in 2022, adding that he has been launching ghost projects in the two counties.
He said DP Ruto's numerous trips to Nyamira and Kisii are just a waste of time, arguing that nobody is interested with his bid.
"The Abagusii community won't rally behind DP Ruto due to his way of handling issues. Even if he makes trips daily to the Gusii region, he can't get any political support in 2022," he stated.
The senator was speaking on Monday at Kisii County headquarters when he joined Kisii Governor James Ongwae to welcome Mining CS John Munyes ahead of the soapstone stakeholders meeting in Tabaka.
