The 2008 Kenya premier league champions Sofapaka FC have confirmed John Baraza as the clubs new tactician following the sacking of Portuguese Divaldo Alves.
The former Sofapaka striker has been in charge of the club on an interim basis for a while.
Club's president Elly Kalekwa confirmed the appointment of the new coach on a three-year contract.
"We decided to settle on Baraza on a full-time basis for the next three years with an option of renewing it even up to ten years. In recent seasons, we did well under his watch and this season we have regained our winning culture under him." Said Elly Kalekwa
The Congolese tycoon termed Baraza as experienced and he has no need to hire another coach.
"He has gained enough experience for the time he has been an assistant but now we trust he will guide the club to achieve the objectives we have set. We have no plans to bring another coach,” he added.
The veteran has served under several coaches including Sam Ssimbwa, Melvis Medo and Divaldo Alves.
John Baraza has performed well in last six matches winning 4 matches with two draws.
Batoto Ba Mungu are now placed 7 on the KPL table with 21 points in a 17 league table standing.
