A section of elected leaders in the North Rift region is now daring Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter to take his anti-Deputy President William Ruto’s campaign to his home turf.

The leaders led by Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany and his Tinderet counterpart Julius Melly says if Keter is serious with his latest onslaught against the DP, he should start the campaigns in the region.

Speaking during a funds drive at Kerotet primary school in Soy constituency on Sunday, the two leaders wondered why Keter has not stepped in his constituency ever since he declared opposition to Ruto’s presidential ambitions.

“If he is man enough let him come to Uasin Gishu or go to Nandi Hills and speak that nonsesence then we see what will happen to him,” said Kositany, a close ally of DP Ruto.

“The best he can do with his purported campaigns is to speak while in Kisumu and post on social media but he cannot dare step in the North Rift because he knows the consequences,” added Melly.

While in Rarienda constituency about a fortnight ago, Keter declared that he would go round the country warning Kenyans against electing DP Ruto, a message he later posted on his Facebook page.

On Sunday, the controversial MP posted yet another message targeted at DP Ruto saying, "…I will not allow a thief to ruin Kenya simply because he comes from my tribe. Never. I am off to the United States to address our brothers and sisters on why we must join other Kenyans in saving our country from the greed of one of us…"
