It has now been revealed that Wiper Party officials unanimously agreed to skip Raila's controversial swearing-in ceremony that was held early this year.
Kalonzo Musyoka, who is the party leader, and Farah Maalim, who is the deputy, were nowhere within the swearing-in grounds on the very day.
Speaking on a live late-night television show, Kalonzo revealed that they had met as a party before the decision to snub the function was reached.
He also added that their skipping the event was influenced by factors 'beyond their comprehension and control.'
"Due to the sensitivity of the function, we had to meet as a party to chart our way forward. And I can say for a fact that the factors that kept us away from the swearing-in ceremony were circumstances beyond our control and comprehension. We agreed with my brother Farah Maalim and all others in the party. That is why none of us in Wiper party attended the function," Kalonzo revealed.
The Wiper Party leader made the revelations, even as he said that he would be in the ballot come 2022 presidential election as the main candidate.
He added that he would not be anybody's running mate since he was not a 'professional running mate'.
