Nyagarama accompanied by his deputy Amos Nyaribo, officer in charge of health Douglas Bosire among other leaders to lay a foundation stone for the facility's construction said the facility will comprise a theatre and 30 impatient wards.

"The construction of Magwagwa health center will be completed in the next 36 months. Locals should be patient and support the contractor to fasten its construction," he said.

The county chief reiterated his commitment to serve the people of Nyamira diligently irrespective of how they voted during the August 8, 2017 polls.

Nyagarama warned nurses against colluding with private clinic owners to steal public drugs.

"I hear drugs are stolen by nurses the county has employed and sell the drugs meant for members of the public to private clinic owners who in return sells the drugs expensively to poor locals. Any nurse found stealing public drugs will be arrested and taken to court," he added.

The ODM allied Governor said his administration will not hesitate to shut down private clinics selling drugs expensively to locals.
