Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko set the internet ablaze on Sunday after he was photographed wearing gold shoes.
Sonko, known for a flashy lifestyle, appeared for a function wearing the shoes which stole the show.
Journalists out for a juicy story did not miss the moment to take close-up shots of the governor’s shoes.
The Nairobi county boss was hosting the Good Deeds Day at the City Hall.
He said Africa Regional Conference Good Deeds will be held in August this year.
"I wish to encourage organisations involved with volunteerism to come and share their successes, challenges and lessons learnt, in order to promote volunteering in Kenya. I also urge the private sector to embrace Good Deeds because, as they say, 'Doing good is good business'," Sonko said
The flamboyant politician is known for his love for expensive things and he has made a name for himself as Kenya’s politician with most golden blings.
He stormed the political scene in Makadara where he ran for MP in 2008 with blings, funny hairstyles and clothes associated with Nairobi’s cool kids.
