Ford Kenya supremo Moses Wetangula Wednesday night mounted a vicious attack on Raila Odinga during a live television interview on a local television station.
The Bungoma senator levelled accusations of betrayal and a sinister attempt to establish a dynasty against Mr Odinga, saying that he would not work with him.
Wetangula said that the ODM leader was the architect of his dramatic ouster as Leader of the Minority in the Senate.
"He planned and executed it. I can tell you for a fact. The manner in which Raila runs his party is like a Gestapo, nothing happens without his approval. He tried to extend his dictatorial tendencies into the coalition of being intolerant to other opinions and being very impatient when someone is explaining something," Senator Wetangula said.
He also accused Raila of lying to the media about what had been discussed during the Stoney Athi retreat.
The strong remarks mark an escalation of the testy relations between the former Minority Leader and Raila Odinga.
On the handshake, he expressed deep scepticism that it would solve the country's problems unless there is electoral justice.
