Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has expressed his remorse towards DJ Evolve by paying for his hospital bill.
This is according to Babu Owino's lawyer Clif Ombetta who further revealed that the legislator sent his wife to go and settle the hospital bill that had amounted to Sh600, 000 as on Saturday.
The lawyer who was speaking at Gigiri Police station on Saturday, claimed that Babu Owino was trying to show his remorsefulness towards the victim.
He added that the move showed the human side of Babu Owino citing that the instances of the MP insulting his fellow politicians was just politics but did not reflect his true character.
According to Ombetta, the family of DJ Evolve could not afford to pay the hospital bill.
"The family we know could not afford but then again this is just trying to show the remorse part of him, the human part of Babu so that we can always forget these issues that come up of him insulting the president and him insulting Passaris and insulting everybody else and what he says, that is politics," Ombetta stated in a video shared by Daily Nation on Twitter.
The lawyer further pointed out that Babu Owino will continue to pay the hospital bill of DJ Evolve.
The MP was arrested on Friday after he allegedly shot the DJ on the neck.
He is being held and Kigiri police station and is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
The DCI had indicated that Babu Owino would be charged with attempted murder.
