Machakos county governor Dr Alfred Nganga Mutua has said that he will soon launch a master plan for Mavoko and Athi river municipalities in terms of roads, sewerage and general infrastructure.
In an announcement on social media, on Thursday, Mutua said that he was aware of the developers' concerns in the said industrial towns.
"I have also taken into consideration the concerns of developers in the industrial town concerning roads, sewerage systems and general infrastructure," he said in part of his post.
"Towards this end, I will soon launch a master plan for Mavoko and Athiriver in terms of the above concerns to ensure a conducive living environment for all," he added.
The vocal county boss who spoke after participating in the groundbreaking ceremony of great wall garden phase 3 construction in Athiriver went ahead reiterated that the need for affordable houses can not be overemphasized.
"The need for affordable houses can not be overemphasized and what Edermann properties is doing will go a long way in achieving one of the big four aspirations of president Uhuru Kenyatta's administration which is housing for all," he said.
Mutua has been in the front line to encourage different investors in Machakos county saying they will provide jobs to local residents directly or indirectly.
Edermann property is one of the leading property developers and managers in Kenya with major investments in Machakos county.
