Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa will host Deputy President (DP) William Ruto in the constituency on Saturday.
The DP is expected to officially open the Malindi Sub-County education office.
Jumwa took to her Twitter account on Friday to announce DP's Saturday visit saying; "The DP William Ruto will be in Malindi Saturday, 6th April 2019 S from 2 pm at Malindi Education office near DCC office for the official opening of the Malindi Sub-County education office."
DP Ruto's expected visit to Malindi comes as the 2022 succession debate intensifies across the political divide.
It will be the second time the DP is visiting Malindi in a span of one month.
Politics is expected to take centre stage during DP's visit as his troop rally for his presidential candidature in the forthcoming 2022 general election.
The renewed war against graft is also likely to be the talking point during Ruto's visit to Jumwa's home turf.
Jumwa is among coast politicians backing Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
The vocal female MP was recently expelled from Raila Odinga led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.
Jumwa was kicked out for allegedly defying the parties rules by allegedly working with Ruto.
The MP has however laughed off her expulsion saying her support for Ruto in 2022 is unstoppable.
Jumwa is among the big political names likely to take over from Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi in 2022.
Governor Kingi is serving his last term in office.
