Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati argued that Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has failed to deliver to the electorates because he has been condoning relatives and close allies in his government.

"There no tangible development in Kisii County because some of the people working in Ongwae's administration are his relatives and close allies who boycotts work but, earns monthly salaries. I am appealing to Ongwae not to favour relatives and friends to secure employment in the county," he said.

Arati insisted that job opportunities should be distributed across all the people in the wards.

"Discrimination of regions is uncalled for. Ongwae's government should serve all the people irrespective of how they voted during the last year's polls," said the MP.

The vocal lawmaker warned Ongwae against coming up with excuses when he will be tasked to explain why he has not developed the county despite receiving over Sh5 billion from the National government.

The Gusii spokesman urged local leaders to shun hatred, divisive politics.
