Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale Friday offered veiled criticism of veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga over his crocodiles narrative.

Duale claimed that the opposition leader and his brigade were keen on taking the country backward.

 "We have brought Kenyans together and there is no crocodile between Kenyans. If we have decided to bring Kenyans together, don't talk to us about crocodiles. Please stop that. The president has united all Kenyans," Duale said to the laughter of listeners.

Duale was addressing a gathering during the funeral of former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka's father who succumbed after a battle with an ailment.

The outspoken MP was making reference to the explanation that Raila Odinga has long offered to his supporters following his dramatic hand-shake with his erstwhile political nemesis President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He offered his condolences and those of the people of Garissa to Kalonzo Musyoka, saying that the relationship between the people of Mwingi and those he represents was never stronger.
