Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has assured Kenyans of his commitment in the fight against corruption.
Haji wants Kenyans to be hopeful, saying agencies involved in the war against graft will not relent.
Speaking when he launched the Lamu Service Week at Mkunguni grounds on Monday, Haji said the multi-agency is fearless and will not be distracted by politicians.
"We are all aware that corruption is fighting back and our promise to Kenyans is that we will remain firm, focused and professional in investigation and prosecution of graft cases," the DPP said.
Haji added that the multi-sectoral agency involved in the war against graft is united and focused. He rubbished some politicians claims that the war on graft has been tribalised.
The DPP insisted that no one is maliciously being targeted in the war against graft. Meanwhile, Haji says that they are keen on recovering stolen money and proceeds of crimes.
He said that they are seeking seizure and recovery of property of suspects who have been charged in court.
The DPP also revealed that his office and other agencies are involving experts to trace proceeds of crimes.
Haji said that no one linked or implicated in corruption scandals will be spared.
This comes as the debate on the ongoing Sh21 Billion dams graft investigation continues to rage on.
A section of politicians is accusing the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) of allegedly weaponising investigations.
The politicians also accuse Kinoti of allegedly targeting certain individuals in his investigation.
The politicians now want Kinoti to stop probing corruption-related cases since he does not have the constitutional powers.
