Embattled Migori governor Okoth Obado on Thursday appeared before Milimani High Court Nairobi in the pre-trial conference over the murder of alleged girlfriend Sharon Otieno and their unborn baby.
Obado through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta filed for a review of his bail terms and wants restriction on travel within Homa Bay County withdrawn.
The restrictions bar the governor from accessing his multi-million mansion in Rapogi, which falls within 20 kilometres from Homa Bay County.
In a maroon shirt and a black coat, Obado looked pensive as he sat next to his two co-accused and personal assistants Caspal Obiero and Michael Oyamo.
Last year, the governor spent a month in Industrial Area Remand Prison over the murder charges of Otieno and their unborn child.
He was released on bail by Judge Jessie Lessit.
In September, the Rongo university student was allegedly abducted alongside Nation journalist Barack Oduor, who escaped narrowly by jumping from the abductors’ speeding vehicle.
