Battle grounds seems to have been drawn yet again as rivalry between Raila Odinga and DP William Ruto intensified yet again.
At Raila's coastal stronghold, Ruto took it by storm on Friday where he warned that 2022 campaigns are not yet on.
"Stop panicking and be slow. Campaigns are not yet on. When that time comes, I'll humble you in the right manner," Ruto said in a statement indirectly targeting Raila.
During the Kilifi event, the DP also faulted the manner in which ODM party is treating legislators perceived to be backing his presidential ambitions.
He said: "It doesn't make sense when you dictate elected leaders. Allow them to work with government for the sake of people."
Both Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori have been summoned by ODM disciplinary committee over their association with Ruto's camp.
But miles away from the coast, ODM MPs led by Siaya Senator James Orengo insisted that Raila must be President under parliamentary system of government.
"Raila is the best suited to be President given his reform credentials. He will put the country to the right track," said Orengo, adding that constitutional amendments were a 'must' in Kenya.
