Sakaja has urged President Kenyatta to listen to Kenyans' cries and stop the VAT from being implemented any further.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, Sakaja hit out at Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich accusing him of rushing to implement the VAT.

He said that the CS did not consider the implication the VAT will have on common Kenyans.

“The president should listen to the 'cries' by common Kenyans and stop the VAT from being enforced,” he told journalists at the Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Monday.

Sakaja said that common Kenyans are feeling the pinch of increased fuel and petroleum products.
