A Kisii university student shocked neighbors after he eloped with a married woman on Wednesday in Jogoo area, within Kisii town.
A neighbor, Clinton Ongoro said, Jackson Nyamao, has been living at the same rental houses with the woman, Linet Kwamboka.
“Nyamao has been secretly seducing Kwamboka. He persuaded her, packed all her belongings and left to an unknown destination while her husband was away,” said Mr. Ongoro.
Ongoro said the woman’s husband has in several occasions warned the woman to stop seeing the student but in vain.
Area local chief, Simon Moriango, confirmed the incident and said the 4th year student at Kisii University pursuing education course has gone into hiding with the woman.
“It is sad that the rider has been left without a wife. Women have prioritised money and not marriage. It is time women should value their husbands,” said Moriango.
