Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdirisack Jaldesa has put on notice Kipkenyo ward politicians inciting locals against each other.
Speaking during a security meeting in Kipkaren Estate on Monday, Jaldesa said those who will be found will face the full force of the law.
The warning comes after supporters of area MCA Hillary Ronoh and those of businessman David Letting alias Kokwas last Sunday clashed.
“As the chairman of security, I will not allow any politician to threaten the resident’s security through incitement. Any politician who will be found dividing residents will be arrested and charged," Jaldesa warned.
He reiterated that residents should not allow politicians to divide them based on political and tribal affiliations for their political gain.
The County Commissioner said that chaos that was witnessed in Kipkaren was a shame and anyone who was involved will be facing the full force of the law.
“Let us maintain peace. You should not follow what politicians tell you since their aim is not to help but to divide and make you fight for them to get into power,” Jaldes told the locals.
He also warned the youth against being used by politicians to cause violence noting they should engage in constructive activities that will help them earn a living.
The County Security boss further said police officers are ready to work for residents and that they should report anyone causing violence.
