Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has hit out at Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni following the arrest of opposition politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, on Monday.
Bobi Wine who has emerged as the face of opposition in Uganda was arrested alongside several others as they attempted to hold a meeting.
The Kyandondo East MP has for far been detained at Kasangati Police Station.
However, while condemning the arrest of the youthful MP, Babu Owino took an issue with President Museveni terming him a " dictator".
" The lethargic dictator has arrested Bobi Wine again. Museveni is alive because killing is immoral and illegal. Anyway, because of your age, you will soon be past tense. A man whose future is in his past," Owino, a key Bobi Wine associate said in a post on his Facebook page.
Since rising to fame after his election in 2016, the Pop music star has re-energized the anti-Museveni camp and ahead of the 2021 general election, he is expected to carry the hopes of the opposition that is desperate to defeat the President who has been in power for 33 years.
He has been arrested several times before for allegedly breaking the law.
