Hundreds of friends, relatives and locals on Friday converged in Mang'u, Rongai constituency in Nakuru county to pay their last tributes to prominent lawyer cum politician Karanja Kabage.
President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived at the lawyer's home at 12 pm shortly after his Deputy William Ruto and was welcomed by Nakuru Governor, Lee Kinyanjui.
Mourners started to arrive for the function as early as 9 am and were joined later by many national and county leaders.
According to his eulogy, Kabage was born on September 9, 1949 at Elburgon in Molo Sub-county, Nakuru county.
"Kabage had a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Law degree from the same university and a Master of Business Administration degree from United States International University-Africa," reads part of his eulogy.
He was working on a PhD thesis on Environment conservation before he met his untimely death, the eulogy further revealed.
Various reports indicate that Kabage was involved in an accident on way to his home in Karen on the night of July 5th and a good Samaritan rushed him to Nairobi hospital but unfortunately was pronounced dead.
According to the Standard, an autopsy report revealed that the prominent businessman suffered from cardiac arrest.
