The club changed its ownership three times in a space of four months.

Owners of Eldoret youth sold their league position after financial constraints to Nothern Wanderers, a team financed by club patron Aden Duale who also doubles up as Garissa Township MP.

The club was formed in May this year to create a pathway for youths in North Eastern towards professional football in the area.

They had played 10 matches this season losing 9 of them and giving away one.

Northern Wanderers recently decided to return the ownership of the club to Eldoret Youth.

They were bottom of the league with no points when Eldoret youth took over and has since played one game against Shabana FC which ended in a 1-1 draw this past weekend.

The decision to claim back the club came after the Garissa-based owners failed to meet the Sh5 million valuation which was supposed to be paid by August.

FKF has now suspended the team’s domestic competitive matches FKF’s League and Competitions Committee reach a conclusion.

"We shall communicate the decision of the committee as soon as possible," reads part of the FKF letter seen by Soka.
