Bongo musician Ali Kiba alias King Kiba has set the record straight concerning his wife's lifestyle.
King Kiba said that his Kenyan wife Amina Khalef does not consume alcohol.
Shortly after Ali Kiba tied the knot with Amina, he released a song dubbed 'Kadogo', which loosely translates to tiny person. However, in the context of the song, the term refers to a tiny woman.
A section of Ali Kiba's fans assumed the singer was referring to his wife in the song.
The song was recorded in Kenya and mentions 001 which is Mombasa County in the intro. This convinced most of his fans that the song was composed for his wife considering she hails from the county.
However, the message in the song is considered controversial as it refers to a woman who likes alcohol and clubbing.
For instance, part of the lyrics says "She is tiny and slender and loves alcohol (Kadogo kanapenda Keroro, kembamba kadogo kanapenda Keroro)"
However, King Kiba has come out to set the record straight, noting that the song was not dedicated to his wife.
In a recent interview by Burundi-based media Fanny which was shared on YouTube on Thursday, Ali Kiba said his wife does not drink alcohol and she is not tiny as the song implies.
"My wife does not take alcohol, and she is not tiny. (mke wangu hanywi pombe na si kadogo dogo)," said King Kiba.
He, however, said that he does not get offended when fans claim the song was dedicated to his wife.
