Danstan Omari, who is also an advocate of the High Court, said that the arrest of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu has shown Haji was out to arrest and charge even the high and mighty and noted this is what could bring him down.

Omari said the DPP's effort has set off unprecedented anxiety among the ruling class and warned they may use the National Assembly to send Haji packing.

"I am likely to see the political class gang up and remove the DPP from office by a simple majority parliamentary vote. The political class is paranoid!" he said on Wednesday.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Omari said Haji by taking the anti-corruption campaign to Judiciary, Parliament, devolved units, the private sector and civil service has created so many 'enemies' who may come together to 'finish' him.

"The DPP is not strategic. Everything is perfect legally- from his statement he is trying to fight a perception that he is acting independently. DPP is aware that people are seeing the selectivity of the prosecution," the analyst observed," he stated.

Haji has maintained that he will stop at nothing until the war on graft and impunity is won.

"I am determined to win the war against corruption and secure a corruption free Kenya for development," he said during a press briefing on Tuesday in Nairobi.
