Migori County Assembly members on Thursday tabled an impeachment motion against Deputy Speaker George Omamba.

The MCA's are accusing Omamba of being arrogant and failing to articulate the plight of assembly members.

The motion was moved by Kaler ward MCA Thomas Akungo who cussed Omamba of a litany of professional misconducts.

Omamba has sought a court injunction stopping his removal.

In his defence before the assembly, the North Kanyamkago MCA cited section 84 of the assembly standing orders that provides a member with a three-day notice before an impeachment motion is carried out.
