The Inspector General (IG) of Police Joseph Boinnet has announced that the death toll from the Riverside attack stands at 21.
In a press briefing, Boinnet noted that six more bodies were found at the scene, adding that one security officer succumbed to his injuries.
The IG confirmed that 28 people have been admitted at various hospitals in the city where they are receiving treatment.
Boinnet also divulged that five attackers had been killed.
The IG noted that of the 21 who died; 16 were Kenyans, 1 American, 1 Briton, and 3 unidentified Africans.
The attackers invaded 14 Riverside on Tuesday at around 3:00 pm, but were neutralized earlier today.
A statement read by President Uhuru Kenyatta indicated that over 700 people had been rescued.
