On your way from town to Kawangware you will pass by Kilimani Primary School.
This is where a section of Kibera followers of Dr David Owuor congregate for service every Sunday.
The man whose star to fame has been rising since the 2002 elections has kept attracting interest, praise, speculation, and controversy.
But who is David Owuor?
Birth
Owuor was born to Christian parents Hezekiah and Margaret Ochieng in 1966. He was second-born in the family of six girls and three boys.
Education
Owuor attended many schools. He went to Wambasa Primary in Yimbo but because of his father's job transfers, he would find himself in many other schools. Some of these included Jusa, Luzira, and Kityala across the Ugandan border.
In Uganda he also attended Mbale Senior Secondary and St Peters College in Tororo. He also attended a number of universities. He began at Makerere but dropped out. He later joined University of Nairobi and then the Ben Gurion University of Negev in Israel.
Preaching
He began preaching in 1987 while in Uganda.
Illuminati
Owuor has been accused of being a member of the secret society Illuminati. Some have accused him of using hidden powers to infiltrate the country's political leadership where he now has easy access to President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga.
Hard critics have also accused him of offering his father as a sacrifice to get wealthy. Mzee Hezekiah died in 2005.
Wife and family
Owuor does not have a wife. He has no family although there are claims that he sired a child with an Israeli woman in the past.
