Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah on Wednesday engaged in an ugly Twitter spat with Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.
The war of words ensued after Ichung'wah hit out at Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho after he sued him for defamation for linking him to drug trafficking in the country.
Joho sued Ichung'wah alongside Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, all of whom are allied to Deputy President William Ruto. The High Court in Nairobi has already issued summons to the politicians in question.
Weighing in on the matter, Junet hit out at the Jubilee politicians, claiming that they were planning to stage manage attacks on their homes and later blame them on Joho.
The remarks seem to have irked Ichung'wah who fired back at Junet, noting that the opposition MP is in a better position to have access to guns and bomb-making skills.
Junet responded by insinuating the vocal Kikuyu MP has links to the Mungiki sect.
Kenyans on Twitter expressed mixed reactions over the manner in which the two legislators engaged in a war of words on the social media platform.
A number of Kenyans castigated them arguing that it was regrettable to see their representatives in the National Assembly using disrespectful language.
