Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has said he is ready to bury the hatchet and meet with Governor Alfred Mutua.
Muthama said he wouldn't decline if Mutua asks him to meet and chat over a cup of tea despite them being political enemies for long.
He, however, said Mutua must show him his home in Machakos County and what he has done for Machakos residents.
"I have no problem meeting with Mutua. We can meet and talk, but he will have to explain about his home and development record," Muthama said.
Muthama spoke to this writer on the phone on Tuesday.
He said Mutua never disclosed where his home is the last time he met him at a burial ceremony in Machakos County some time back.
"He kept driving me in circles saying he has a home in Mua which I don't know, yet I know Mua like the palm of my hands. We can talk if he's ready to come clean on his residence. Otherwise, he's an outsider," Muthama said.
Muthama and Mutua have not been meeting eye to eye, they have been attacking each other politically.
The former senator said he had wasted millions of money fighting Mutua in court, money that could build good schools and churches.
