A family is living in fears over the safety of their daughter after a first time Jubilee MP threatened to kill her.
The MP, from Central Kenya, is said to have called his mother-in-law at 3 am and told made the threats.
The family source said the MP came home inebriated and pounced on the wife with kicks and blows.
He reportedly used an iron box to attack the wife leaving her with physical injuries.
"The MP called our mother at around 3am and told her that we should go for 'the malaya in his house' referring to my sister or else we go pick her dead in the morning," a brother to the MPs wife said.
He added: "By the time I arrived to rescue my sister, she was hiding in the servant’s quarter. My nephew who lives in the same compound helped her run. He attacked her using an ironing box causing serious injuries all over the body."
The wife has already reported the assault case to the police and is awaiting police to crack the whip on the mheshimiwa.
Pictures of the assaulted wife were on Wednesday shared widely on social media.
