The CS was accompanied by Prof Margaret Kobia among other guests to the place.

He later took to social media and urged all government agencies to ensure that they get uniforms from NYS and not importing them from other nations in the world.

“My colleague, Prof.@CSMargaretKobia and I inspected the progress of the production of new @NPSOfficial_KE uniforms at @NYS_Ke Headquarters, Ruaraka. Undoubtedly, we have the capacity to manufacture institutional uniforms locally. I urge all government agencies to follow suit,’ he said through his official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The action of the CS, however, didn’t impress lawyer Ahmednassir Abdulahi. According to the controversial lawyer, the CS could have delegated the duty to another junior instead of going to the place itself.

He reminded the CS to ensure Kenyans are protected all the time as long as he remains in power.

“Waziri...I disagree on this...leave this to KENYANS in the private sector...I subscribe to the philosophy that the main function of the STATE is that of a "NIGHT WATCHMAN"...Look after Kenyans when they are asleep,” he responded moments after Matiang’i revealed.
