Prof Makau Mutua’s daughter was sworn in as Resident Magistrate in Dar-es-Salaam.
Mutua, a US-based Kenyan law scholar had his daughter, Mueni Mutua admitted as a Resident Magistrate in Tanzania.
The lawyer, who has been vocal on matters of national interest, took to social media to share the good news with his supporters. He said that he is proud to be associated with the success of the daughter after a long journey of hard work and resilience.
However, not much is known about the daughter beside the new role she has landed in the neighbouring country. Several leaders have continued to send their messages of goodwill to the family of the lawyer.
“Hon. Mueni Mutua deserves all the congratulations ... She is the apple of the eye of her father .... She has the future in her hands," said Nairobi lawyer Donald KipKorir.
Narc Kenya leader Martha Karau also joined other leaders in congratulating Mueni following her success in the legal practices.
"Congrats to the both of you !" said Karua while Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi also had something to say following the delivery of the good news.
“Congratulations are obviously in order, “Ahmednassir said moments after the Mutua revealed the news.
