Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has been deconstructed for calling men 'animals'.
A section of Nyamira men claimed that Matiang'i's reference to men to be animals is a clear indication that Matiang'i is not 'mature'.
"It is unfortunate that Matiang'i generally referred us men to be animals on grounds that he was referring to men defiling minors in the region. He should be mature because it is disrespectful for him to call his fellow men 'animals," noted Justine Manoti.
Julius Ongoro condemned Matiang'i saying his bride will come to an end once he will go on permanent retirement.
"Matiang'i's bride won't help him once he retires. He thinks he will serve in government for ever. Let him know we will be waiting him to join us in the village once he is sacked from government or hits retirement age," said Mr. Ongoro.
According to Ongoro, Matiang'i's animal remarks are unacceptable.
"Calling men animals is disrespectful. Matiang'i must apologize to men from the Gusii community," added Ongoro.
Daniel Mogeni protested Matiang'i's animal remarks stating that fighting defilement in deep villages should be blamed on chiefs.
"Matiang'i should sack chiefs because they are the ones defending defilers in the deep villages instead of calling men animals," noted Mogeni.
