An elected Member of County Assembly in Kisii County has fired warning shots to Bonchari MP John Oyioka over what he termed as 'barbaric' leadership in the constituency.
Riana ward MCA Vincent Ariemba Moisabi dismissed Oyioka's plans to relocate Ngeri Youth Polytechnic from Ngeri to Bonyaoro.
The vocal ward representative claimed that he can't allow the lawmaker to relocate any learning institution from Riana.
"Locals should not panic whatsoever because I am on the watch out to ensure Mr Oyioka doesn't move Ngeri Youth Polytechnic from Riana to his Bonyaoro home. It is time the MP should know locals are not interested in his confused and unfocused leadership," he said.
Moisabi reiterated that a borehole will be drilled at the polytechnic to supply water in the institution and the neighbourhood.
"I wish to confirm that I convinced a donor who has agreed to offer Sh700,000. The funds will help facilitate the expansion of the polytechnic and purchase of training equipment for the institution.," he added.
According to Moisabi, Ngeri stands a better chance to be upgraded to a technical training institute as earlier proposed and urged the MP not to sideline Ngeri in matters development in favour of his Bonyaoro area.
He was speaking on Saturday in Nyangena.
