An MP allied to the opposition NASA has hinted at one powerful leader who she claims may never lead Kenya.
Mishi Mboko is a close ally of opposition chief Raila Odinga and has played an instrumental role in marketing the brand Raila in Coast politics from the time she joined politics.
Mishi who spoke on Monday said the 2022 presidential election will be full of surprises telling Kenyans to prepare for a rude shocker.
Although she did not directly name the leader, the outspoken Likoni MP who was first elected to Parliament as Mombasa Woman Representative in 2013 said the leader is rich and has been busy campaigning and luring leaders from other parties to his political camp.
She spoke alongside Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who on Monday warned Deputy President William Ruto over his frequent visits to Coast region campaigning.
"Kenyans have become brave," Mishi said.
"It does not matter how much money you have. It will not be about money this time."
Joho on Monday caused a stir on social media when he said he was ready to deal with Jubilee leaders who have been busy touring the country launching developing projects and indirectly campaigning as the 2022 heat begins to rise.
Both Joho and Mishi come from a county that overwhelmingly voted for opposition leader Raila Odinga during the 2007, 2013 and 2017 general elections.
