Ngunjiri said the two tasks are telling the truth and preparing to go to heaven.

He made the remarks in reference to DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential ambition which has caused political fireworks in the country.

On the issue, the MP said he must tell President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Mt Kenya region the truth.

“I am now left with only two tasks in this life; to tell the truth and to prepare to go to heaven. President Uhuru Kenyatta himself told us that we support him for 10 years and then we support Ruto for 10 years, that is the truth,” Ngunjiri said.

The vocal MP told off the Kitaeleweka camp and the opposition over their frequent attacks to the Deputy President.

“When we meet, they say that we have met to endorse you. How can we endorse you and you were endorsed long time by President Uhuru himself?” the MP said.

“He said after he retires we will support you, and I haven’t heard him say anything contrary,” he added.

The leaders were in Mauche Njoro for a fundraising function hosted by area MP Charity Kathambi.
