In the most unlikely political scenario, ODM leader Raila Odinga is becoming a frequent guest at State House, months after reconciling with his political nemesis President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Last month alone, Raila was a guest in State House twice where he attended two separate functions.
The first one was when Kenyan women were being honoured and the final one, on August 30th, he had been invited for a meeting with British PM Theresa May.
On Friday, Raila with Bulding Bridges Task Force paid a courtesy call to President Uhuru Kenyatta where they briefed him on the legal impetus of the initiative so far.
The initiative, which compromises of 14-member team and two secretaries, was gazetted in May as part of Raila's deal with Uhuru.
The committee is led by Amb Martin Kimani and lawyer Paul Mwangi as joint secretaries.
Adams Oloo, Agnes Kavindu, Senator Amos Wako, Florence Omose, Prof Saeed Mwanguni , James Matundura, Major (rtd) John Seii, and Bishop Lawi Imathiu are members.
Others in the team include Maison Leshomo, Senator Mohamed Yusuf Haji, Morompi ole Ronkai, Bishop Peter Njenga, Rose Moseu, and Archbishop Zecheus Okoth.
This week, Raila was subjected to immense criticism after supporting Uhuru's proposals on tax cut that were passed during a stormy parliament session on Thursday.
Even though opposing MPs claimed victory, Uhuru assented the bill into law thus subjecting Kenyans to various tax cuts including 8% VAT on petroleum products.
