This comes at a time when political temperatures in the country are once again on the rise, thanks to the ongoing exchange between government and opposition brigades.

Speaking in Nyanturago Catholic Church in Nyamira, the former Bungoma Governor also called upon Kenyans to rally behind the government for state benefits.

He reiterated his funny proverb which he has been using in political functions to send the message home, saying its better for a fly to die in milk than in the toilet.

“What I have learnt over time is that people who stick with the Government always benefit. And ideally, it’s better for a fly to die in a jug of milk than in a pit latrine,” Lusaka was quoted by the Sunday Standard.

Also present was Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria who vowed to collaborate with the region in his 2022 presidential bid.

Area Senator Okong'o Omogeni called upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to devolve the fight against corruption to the counties, especially Nyamira.

“We have only seen DCI act on national cases of corruption and it is high time that he descended to Nyamira and arrest looters of public finances," said the lawmaker.

On his side, West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi endorsed the proposed constitutional changes, saying that they are much welcome and important.
