Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has apologised to the Luo community over his utterances.
The Kapseret legislator made distasteful remarks against Luos a while ago, something that did not sit well with Kenyans.
However, in a video on his Facebook page after being grilled by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), he said he regrets his utterances.
“I want to apologize to anyone that my recent comment might have offended. I wish to state that I remain a true champion of peace, harmony, and cohesion,” said the MP.
He reiterated that he had already apologised to the Luo community before he was even summoned by the NCIC.
“Last week when I attended an engagement ceremony between a Luo and Kikuyu and I publicly apologized for my utterances against the said tribe. I thank NCIC for monitoring us that we don’t surpass some limits in our utterances to incite wananchi,” Sudi said.
He further said that his constituency is cosmopolitan where the majority are Luos who overwhelmingly voted for him and that he was answering Orengo and not the entire community.
Sudi said he was waiting for the NCIC decision and he is ready for their verdict.
